Privacy policy
Notifeed keeps a history of the notifications on your phone so you can find them later. This page explains what stays on your phone, what leaves it, and why.
1. What stays on your phone
Everything Notifeed saves from your notifications stays on your phone: notification text and titles, pictures, the names of people and chats, the names and icons of apps, and your searches, stars, skipped apps and settings. The app never sends any of this to us or to anyone else.
It leaves the phone only when you do it yourself, for example when you share or copy a notification, or move your phone's data to a new phone with Android's phone-to-phone transfer. Android's cloud backup does not include your notification history.
2. Notification access
Notifeed needs notification access to work. It only reads and saves notifications: it never replies to messages and never changes Do Not Disturb. It clears notifications from your notification shade only for apps you choose (off by default); they stay in your history.
3. Crash reports and usage statistics
Notifeed can send two kinds of reports through Google Firebase. The app asks you once, after setup, whether to send them. Both are off until you choose Allow; if you choose Don't allow or close the question, nothing is sent. You can turn each one on or off at any time in Settings › Privacy; when one is off, it stops being sent.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): what went wrong and where in the app, the app version, the phone model, the Android version, basic technical state of the phone (such as free memory) and an identifier for the app. Never notification text.
- Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase): which screens and features are used (such as "search used"), how setup and recording work on your phone (including the phone's maker), steps on the Pro screen and in purchases, your answer to the rating question, and whether you use Free, the welcome week or Pro. These are fixed values, ranges and yes/no flags only, never notification content, people's or chat names, app names or searches. Google Analytics also records app opens, the app version, the phone model, the Android version, the language, an approximate location (country, region or city) from the IP address and an identifier for the app.
While usage statistics are on, the app also asks Firebase Remote Config for app settings we can change without an update (such as the length of the free window), with basic app and device information and no notification content.
The app does not use the advertising ID. Analytics is set not to use data for ads and not to personalize ads.
4. Purchases
Notifeed Pro is a one-time purchase through Google Play, which processes the payment; we never receive your payment card details.
To check, provide and restore Pro, the app uses a purchase management service that acts on our behalf. It receives an anonymous ID that it creates for the app (not your name, email or Google account), basic app and device information (such as app version, language and country) and, if you buy Pro, the purchase details from Google Play (such as the product, price and date). It does not receive notification content or app names. Pro cannot work without it, so there is no switch for it.
5. Feedback
If you use Send feedback or Write to us, your email app opens a message to us, with the app version, the Android version and the phone maker added. We receive only what you send, and use it to answer you.
6. What we never do
No ads. No account. No selling of data. We do not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
7. Service providers
Google (Firebase Crashlytics, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Remote Config and Google Play) and a purchase management service process data only for the purposes above, on our behalf. They may process it in countries other than yours, including the United States. Data sent over the internet is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

8. How long data is kept, and deleting it
- On your phone: history is kept for the period you choose in Keep history (30 days by default; with Pro, from 7 days to forever, per app). Starred notifications stay until you unstar or delete them. You can delete history at any time in the app (see the data deletion page). Uninstalling the app deletes everything it saved on the phone.
- Crash reports: kept by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days.
- Usage statistics: kept by Google Analytics for 14 months; summary reports without identifiers may be kept longer. We keep a copy for our own analysis in Google Cloud for up to 60 days.
- Purchase records: kept by our purchase management service and Google Play as long as needed for Pro, refunds, support, accounting and legal obligations.
Crash reports and usage statistics contain no name, email or account, so we usually cannot tell which of them are yours; you can stop them at any time in Settings › Privacy. To ask us to delete your purchase records, or for any other data question, write to us (see section 10 and the data deletion page).
9. Children
Notifeed is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy. The new effective date is shown at the top of this page.
