It saves the notifications your phone shows, so you can find them later: ones you swiped away, and chat messages that were removed after they arrived. Everything is saved on your phone.
Android only lets an app see notifications with this access. When you tap Agree and open settings, Android opens its notification access page: turn Notifeed on there. Android's warning says the app could also reply to messages and change Do Not Disturb. Notifeed does neither: it reads and saves, and clears notifications from the shade only for apps you choose.
Only what Android showed on this phone after you turned access on. It can't save notifications from before, from apps whose notifications are turned off, or anything Android hides from apps (for example, Android 15 and later can hide one-time codes). Every app is saved until you skip it in Settings › Apps.
Removed: the app that sent the notification took it back (for example, a chat message removed after it arrived). Dismissed: you swiped it away. Delete is only something you do in Notifeed.
If you installed Notifeed from an APK file instead of Google Play, Android 13 and later grey out the notification access switch ("Restricted setting"). To allow it:
The Allow restricted settings option appears only after you have tried the switch once. Installing from Google Play avoids this step.
Many phones stop apps in the background to save battery. Open Settings › Recording, tap Battery and follow the Phone guide: it shows the steps for your phone's maker (such as Autostart or Unrestricted battery use) and opens the right settings page where it can. During your first week, the card on Home has a Fix button that opens the same guide.
Settings › Recording shows whether recording is on, any gaps in the last 7 days, and when each messenger last saved a message. If notification access is turned off, Home says Recording stopped; tap Turn on access.
Yes, once access is on. If your phone limits apps after a restart, follow the Phone guide above.
For 7 days after you first turn on notification access, everything is open. Use it to check that Notifeed keeps recording on your phone. Notifeed tells you in the app a day before it ends; nothing is deleted when it ends.
Forever free: the last 24 hours of history, 5 stars, recording, search, app lock and every privacy control. Everything is still recorded: older notifications are kept for 30 days and open with Pro.
Pro opens all your Older history, lets you keep history from 7 days to forever (per app), star as many as you like, and adds the Recently dismissed widget. It is one payment, not a subscription, with no ads, ever. The price in your currency is shown in the app before you buy.
In some countries Google Play can't take payments right now. The app tells you so; all free features keep working.
Install Notifeed from Google Play with the same Google account. Pro usually comes back by itself. If not, open the Pro screen (or the Pro card in Settings) and tap Restore purchase.
Check that Google Play on this phone uses the account you bought with, then try again. Still missing? Write to us with your Google Play order number (starts with "GPA.") and the Support ID shown under Restore.
Refunds go through Google Play. Within 48 hours of buying, you can usually request one on Google Play's refund page. After that, write to us with your order number. If a purchase is refunded, Pro is removed.
No. Notification text, titles, pictures, people's names, app names and your searches stay on this phone. The app asks you once, after setup, whether to send crash reports and usage statistics (never with notification content); nothing is sent unless you allow it, and you can change each one in Settings › Privacy. Details: privacy policy.
Yes: Settings › Privacy › App lock. You unlock it with your phone's screen lock. With app lock on, widgets, the quick settings tile and copy previews hide content.
