Privacy Policy
1. Information Collection and Use
Money Manager may use Firebase services provided by Google to improve app performance and functionality.
Depending on the features used, Firebase may automatically collect certain information such as:
- Device information (device model, operating system)
- App usage data and screen views
- Crash reports
- Identifiers (such as IDs created by the App and by Firebase, and the device's advertising ID if available), used only for analytics and crash reports
This information is used solely to improve the stability, performance, and functionality of the App. To make the App easier to use, analytics also include general information about transactions (such as categories and approximate amounts). Exact amounts and notes are not included in analytics or crash reports.
The App does not sell, trade, or rent user data to third parties.
2. Financial Data
All financial data entered by users (such as income, expenses, and notes) is stored locally on the user's device by default.
When the user chooses to use the Google Drive Backup feature, financial data may be stored on the user's personal Google Drive account. This data is only transferred when the user explicitly enables this feature.
The developer does not access or store exact amounts or notes on external servers.
3. Google Account and Authentication
If the user chooses to sign in with Google to use backup features, the App collects:
- Email address
- Display name
- Profile photo URL
This information is used to identify the user's account within the App. For a signed-in user, a partly hidden email address and the user ID are also sent to the messaging service described in section 11. This information is not shared with any other third parties.
4. Feedback and Support Messages
When you send feedback from the App ("Write to Us"), we receive your message, the contact you provide (optional), and basic device and app information, so we can reply to you. Feedback is stored on Google Firebase and is also sent to the messaging service described in section 11. Trusted service providers, including an AI tool, help us draft replies; a person reviews every reply before it is sent. You can ask us to delete your feedback at any time.
5. Google Drive Backup
When the user enables Google Drive Backup, the App asks for access to the user's Google Drive. This access allows the App to create, read, and delete only the backup files it creates — the App cannot access any other files on the user's Google Drive.
Backup files are stored in a folder created by the App on the user's personal Google Drive. The user can delete these files at any time from within the App or directly from Google Drive.
If the user enables automatic backup, the App will periodically upload backup files in the background. This only occurs when explicitly enabled by the user.
6. Notifications
Transaction reminders are scheduled locally on the user's device and shown as notifications; they are not sent through Firebase Cloud Messaging. Users can disable notifications at any time through the App settings or device system settings.
7. Permissions
The App requests the following device permissions:
- Internet & Network State — required for Firebase services and backup features
- Notifications — for transaction reminders (user can disable)
- Vibrate — for haptic feedback (user can disable)
- Wake Lock & Boot Completed — to deliver scheduled reminders reliably
No permissions are used to access contacts, camera, microphone, or location.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data: Users can delete all local data at any time using the "Reset Data" option in Settings.
Google Drive backups: Users can delete backup files from within the App or directly from their Google Drive. Signing out removes the App's access to Drive.
Feedback messages: kept so we can support you and improve the App; deleted on request (see Contact Us).
Signing out: Users can sign out of Google in the App at any time. Backups stay in the user's own Google Drive until the user deletes them. Data already stored on our servers (such as the sign-in record, feedback and analytics data) is kept until the user asks us to delete it (see Contact Us).
9. Children's Privacy
This App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. Internet Usage
The App does not need the internet to record and view transactions. Internet access is required only for Firebase services (analytics, crash reporting), optional backup features, sending feedback, and the messaging service described in section 11. Exact amounts and notes leave the device only when the user turns on Google Drive Backup.
11. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following services provided by Google LLC:
- Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Authentication, Remote Config, Cloud Firestore)
- Google Drive API
The App also uses a messaging service that notifies the developer about feedback and app events (such as errors). These messages include an app ID and basic device and usage information.
Firebase Remote Config is used to enable or disable app features. No personal data is used for feature targeting.
You can learn more about how Google handles data here:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
12. Data Security
Reasonable measures are taken to protect information processed through the App. All data transfers to Firebase and Google Drive are encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Local data is stored in the app's private storage, accessible only to the App.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page.
